Banaue is the gateway to the fabulous mountain rice terraces of the Cordillera, some of them constructed 2000 plus years ago and still in use today, and it have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Banaue Rice Terraces have often been called the "Eighth Wonder of the World" due to the extent and height of these gigantic stairway. It offers breathtaking views and the opportunity to visit a waterfall and the local village, which retains traditional Ifugao stilt houses.
